Background

LTi Metaltech is a dynamic, innovative and growing high-tech fabrication company, with solid foundations in high precision fabrication and welding. We work with global companies and OEM’s to deliver world leading specification vessels and structures using Stainless Steel, Copper and high purity Aluminium.

 

Formerly part of Siemens MR Magnet Technology, LTi Metaltech has been part of LTi Metalltechnik since 2005, a world leading organisation of high tech engineering companies based in Germany. We have earned the trust of many of the world’s leading producers from wide-ranging different high-tech sectors over the years.

Our business

With an annual turnover of circa £23 million, LTi Metaltech employs around 100 people as one of the largest group of coded welders in the South East of England, all of whom work to AD Merkblatt 2000 and PD 5500 standards. We continuously strive to push the boundaries and look at new technologies and processes to meet our customers’ expectations.

 

LTi delivers high quality standards at lower costs for advanced applications whilst adhering to ISO 9001, 14001 & 18001, combining the latest automated manufacturing technologies, alongside highly trained personnel supported by a global supply chain that adheres to NDA compliance.

 

With a history of being part of a leading blue chip organisation, LTi Metaltech has been a Tier 1 supplier to Siemens Healthcare for over a decade, pioneering manufacturer of cryogenic pressure vessels used in Siemen’s Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) scanners. These are exported for installation in hospitals and medical facilities around the globe. With the support of innovative production engineering facilities, ultra-modern, high-performance machine outfit and an efficient logistical system, our job is to tackle even the most complex challenge.

 

As a privately owned business led by a streamlined management team, our fast decision-making reaps a tradition of re-investment in new technology. We endeavour to lead the market and ongoing projects of continuous improvements helps ensure we stay ahead of the competition.

Our Strategy

LTi Metaltech has succeeded in a highly competitive and regulated industry by maintaining our core belief to provide solutions whilst adapting to innovative technologies. We are a respected development partner for NPD and design improvements because we provide strategies that work.

 

We use the latest cutting and welding technology to achieve the highest quality and accuracy in all our materials. We also utilise onsite radiography to non destructively test for weld integrity. We maintain the quality in Design for Manufacture by using SolidWorks 3D CAD and ensures performance on final designs using Finite Element Analysis.

 

As members of the British Cryogenics Cluster and The Welding Institute (TWI), the Pressure Vessel Manufactures Forum (PVMF) and the Nuclear Industry Association (NIA). LTi is committed to working in partnership with key sector service providers in delivering practical solutions to help meet the technological and manufacturing challenges of the future.

Edgar Rayner

Technical Director

Edgar leads the company’s strategy. Since becoming Technical Director, Edgar has helped revitalize and uplift the business, moving it forward through upskilling and diversifying the markets it serves. Edgar is currently overseeing a rapid period of growth for the company, as it breaks into new industries.

Gary Chamberlain

Business Development Manager 

Gary leads the sales departments and draws on his extensive mechanical engineering experience to help customers overcome their technical challenges. Passionate about delivering quality and strong customer service, Gary will always look to further improve processes for clients, without compromising the original specification.

Daniel Steyn

Production Manager

Daniel is a natural innovator and leader who is experienced in managing people within LTi’s highly demanding manufacturing environment. Drawing on his extensive experience and expertise, Daniel takes pride in leading the LTi production team in achieving its daily targets.

Erkan Candan

Engineering Manager

Erkan graduated from Oxford Brookes University with a BSC in computer aided product design. After completing his studies, Erkan began his career at LTi as a manufacturing engineer before becoming a process engineer in 2011.

 

Phil Lacey

Commercial Director 

Phil looks after the company’s commercial strategies. Phil is responsible for identifying, developing and implementing new commercial opportunities to help the company meet its goals and accelerate growth.

Stevie Clayton

Quality Manager

Stevie manages and oversees the company’s operations to ensure the highest standards of precision and quality. Stevie’s role is critical to ensuring that quality and integrity always take priority, when LTi are finding innovative solutions to customer specifications.
