Cryogenic pressure vessels

LTi Metaltech is a leading designer and manufacturer of stainless steel cryogenic pressure vessels for use in such demanding applications as Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) scanners.

Since 2005 the company has been the sole supplier of cryogenic pressure vessels to Siemens MR Magnet Technology MRI scanners, used to encapsulate liquid Helium that cools superconducting electromagnets to 4 Kelvin (-270 degrees Celsius), and has invested in the latest equipment, technology and working practices to become an industry leader.

To ensure the quality of these components, very high levels of quality control and testing are performed throughout the production and fabrication process, from visual welding inspection through to X-Ray and High Vacuum testing.

In addition to this all of our vessels are coded in compliance with:

• British Standards (Pressure Equipment Directive 5500)
• AD2000 Merkblatt (German Pressure Equipment Standard)
